Bing, Microsoft’s formerly code-named Kumo, is no longer rumor. Microsoft will be releasing it’s new wave search engine fully on June 3, at http://www.bing.com. Dubbed a “Decision Engine”, bing.com piques my curiousity more than a little, since this seems to be one of the only corners of the computer software industry that Microsoft has thus far failed to completely wrap it’s hands around. I will try it… but I probably will stick with Google.

Welcome to Tech Filter. The goal of this website is to help other game developers come together to a single site for information, tutorials, discussions, code examples, ideas, and networking. There are many sites out there with code examples and tutorials not specifically targetted towards the game dev world (with exceptions like GameDev.net), and that’s just what I plan to cure. Over the next few weeks I will be posting blogs with miniature code examples which can be used in many types of games. I will also be developing the site to have more content for you, the game dev. Check back tomorrow for the first example.
